It’s been a while since I have written on my blog site. There have been so many good things that are going on in my life. I would like to thank my readers who have sent me e-mails requesting more articles, interviews with other single parents, and more stories about the Diamond & Pearls Empowerment Group.
Just one of the great things that has been going on in my life, and I’m excited to announce, I just accepted the position as the Director of Diamonds & Pearls Empowerment Group. I’ve been very busy working with the Founder of the group in getting our yearly agenda, new letters and our website together. This has been very exciting and a bit time consuming, but I wouldn’t have it any other way! I’m currently working on our 2011 Diamonds & Pearls Kickoff celebration story with pictures so you all can see how we have grown from 8 young ladies to know 20 members! This group has truly changed not only my life but my daughter’s and our relationship.
A New Year should also come with different changes or approaches to the way we do things, or affect the people we have in our life. Last year was a great learning experience for me and this year I would like to share some past life experience with you and of course my future experiences I’m about to face.
This New Year for me is about getting to know who I am as a person! Yes, I have all of these positive things going on in my life and I’m so thankful and grateful for all it. On a personal note I’ve also made some changes that some people in my life are still scratching their heads over. (lol!) I’ve been dating since I was 16 years old and been sexually active since I was 18 years old. Like any other woman I had my fair share of relationships, and last year I ended an almost two year relationship, and from that relationship I’ve learned so much about myself. Once that relationship was over my first instinct was to get back out there again and start dating, and I did just that!
In doing that I found that something was missing, not the man of my dreams, but me as a person! All of these questions started to come to my head, what do I really want, is it that important to have a man in my life? Don’t get me wrong I don’t want to be alone however it comes a time in one’s life that we have to make changes to our life. I did just that and it’s time for me to relax my mind and body, so yes that does mean I’m now “CELIBATE”! Yes voluntarily celibate. For all the women out there who are also celibate you understand that this is definitely not a GAME! For all the women who have ever thought about it or even tried it can understand, it really does take a stronger person to make this type of choice! So that is just a taste of some the articles I’m currently working on.
Thank you all for your continuing love and support and please keep the ideas coming!
